Stearns I596 Driflex Ice Rescue Suit
Stearns listened to the Ice Rescue professionals and developed features not found on any other suit. Their new "Burpgrip ™" handle makes it easier to release the air in the suit, and the "Invisivalve ™" allows for continuous purging of the air ensuring that you get the maximum performance of the suit while being able to focus solely on the rescue. When extreme rescue conditions materialize, you need a serious ice rescue suit. The Stearns I596 Driflex™ Cold Water Rescue Suit was designed with the professional in mind so you can focus on your job.
A universal size (110 - 330 lbs., 5' - 6'6") will fit a wide range of weights and heights.
The outer shell is durable PU coated nylon that will hold up to all the abuses of the job.
Welded seams give the suit a simplified waterproof reliability.
A thermal liner made of soft 3/16” PVC foam attaches to the inside easy with color-coded snaps. This will keep you warm and comfortable.
The neoprene hood will accommodate headlamps and accessories.
With the Invisivalve™ that continually purges trapped air, the hood always stays tight.
The Burp Grip™ on the neck allows you to release trapped air easily before entering the water.
Attached insulated boots with a non-skid sole provide great traction and warmth.
A removable harness will accommodate a tether for rescue situations.
Cinch straps at the thighs and wrists allow for a customized fit and better freedom of movement.
Reinforced elbows, knees and seat help keep those high wear areas durable.
A watertight YKK® zipper is welded into the suit for ultimate protection.
Waterproof and insulated gloves keep your fingers warm while still allowing dexterity.
Ice awl pockets on each sleeve are strategically placed for quick access. (Ice Awls not included.)
SOLAS reflective tape on the shoulders, sleeves and hood help keep you visible in low visibility conditions.
A whistle is included for an attention getter in high noise situations.
The included repair kit contains Tear-Aid for a quick repair.
An individual storage bag has donning instructions printed right on it so there’s no confusion in the field.
