The HeartStart Infant/Child (Pediatric) SMART Pads are for children less than 8 years of age or weighing less than 55 pounds. The cartridge contains two self-adhesive pads. Contains two self-adhesive pads in a hard protective cartridge. The infant/child pads are for children less than eight years of age or weighing less than 55 pounds. The pads are SMART because they work with the device to sense whether they have been removed from the cartridge and placed on the patient's chest. Pictures on the pads illustrate correct placement for infants/children.
The pads also initiate special CPR coaching for infants/children. Defibrillation pads must be replaced after each use, or once every two years. The expiration date is visible on the outside of the pads packaging.The Infant/Child SMART pads are for use with the HeartStart Home Defibrillator. Please refer to the HeartStart Home Defibrillator Owner's Manual for further instructions, cautions and warnings. Physician prescription required.
