Mustang Membrane Inflatable Technology (M.I.T.) is a brand new inflatable technology used exclusively in Mustang’s next generation of inflatable PFDs. M.I.T. inflatables use stretch materials derived from the medical industry and, by using less fabric and lighter weight components in its design, provide an overall lighter, more flexible and more comfortable fit for people looking for a more comfortable PFD. M.I.T inflatable PFDs are approved by the US Coast Guard and provide at least twice the buoyancy an average person needs to float.
