Ronald B.J. Wisner

Ronald Wisner is descended from a long line of sailors going back to his family's China clippers. He has been sailing for over fifty years. Mr. Wisner has competed in four Marion-Bermuda Races, placing first in the Celestial class and second overall in the 2013 race in his Columbia 50 to take home the Navigator's trophy. He has been a celestial navigator all his life and has made numerous offshore passages in the North Atlantic and Caribbean. Mr. Wisner lectures and writes on the subject for the Marion/Bermuda race, the New York Yacht Club and numerous other yacht clubs and institutions. Mr. Wisner has written a book entitled "A Renaissance in Celestial Navigation," designed to make navigation by celestial bodies accessible and understandable.
