  Watermakers
 With a watermaker, you can go farther and stay longer without a constant concern for your water supply, and you'll never again have to worry about the purity of what goes into your tanks! Katadyn's (formerly PUR) first customer was the U.S. Navy, who wanted a hand-operated, reverse osmosis watermaker for their 35 person life rafts.
Right from the start, Katadyn (formerly PUR) products have had to prove themselves under the most extreme conditions. And prove themselves they have; they are now found in many life raft and personal survival kits as standard equipment, and more and more cruising yachts are discovering the independence that a water maker provides. Using reverse osmosis, they supply water free of virtually all salt (average salt removal is 98.4 percent) and contaminants -- including most bacteria, giardia, and even viruses.
Each unit is tested before it leaves the factory, and is constructed of corrosion-resistant materials. The PowerSurvivor 40E, 80E, and 160E all come as separate, space-saving components. The 80E is also available as an enclosed, self-contained modular unit. All are easy to install, simple to use, and produce great-tasting water.
