Emergency Desalination Pouch
The second generation of forward osmosis desalination systems is here. Intended for emergency use, the SeaPack Crew produces a life-saving drink directly from seawater. Perfect for use on your off-shore boat, air plane, sea kayak or for use in your life raft.
The filtered drink is very similar to the juice from pressed grapes and provides 480 calories from each half liter -- an important energy source during emergencies. The tight osmotic membrane rejects a full 97% of the salt.
Powered by forward osmosis and HTI's revolutionary membrane technology, the SeaPack Crew provides emergency hydration fluids from saltwater sources. Because the SeaPack Crew utilizes a passive osmotic process, it is by far the easiest desalination technology available, even lending itself to one hand operation in case of injury. The SeaPack Crew comes is a package with three single use pouches that include a tether to secure the system to a life raft or personal flotation device. The pouches are portable, compact and will produce a survival drink in as little as 8 hours.
Produces 0.5 liters of drink in 10 hours at 68 F, No pumping or electricity required, Only system in the world that produces a survival sports drink from pure salt water without the use of electricity, chemicals or any form of pumping, Filter will not clog, High salt rejection – 97%
