New York State Safe Boating Course


Course Length: One day 8 hours

As of May 1, 2014 any resident of New York State born after May 1, 1996 and is at least 10 years old must hold NYS Boating Safety Certificate to operate a vessel in New York waters.

Course Overview: Our course is NY state-approved and exceeds the minimum requirements for the certification to operate a boat in the State of New York. This course is recommended for all new boaters as well as a refresher for experienced boat operators. Families are urged to take this course together and completion of this course may lower boat insurance premiums.

    Tuition: $100.00

    Certification: Upon successful course completion you will receive a certificate of completion for New York Safe Boating Certification. This certificate is not a substitute for the New York license but necessary for the application process. Students are responsible for completing the state license application process after successfully passing the Landfall class
