New charts from NOAA -
updated to within a week!

Print On Demand, (POD) is one means of providing NOAA nautical chart information to the mariner in a fast efficient manner. The POD process entails the use of large format inkjet or electrostatic plotters to produce nautical charts. The Office of Coast Survey (OCS) has been experimenting with this technology as one possible way to provide mariners with more up-to-date charts. Under this approach, OCS would update digital files of all charts each week for all Notice to Mariner items. Then, using print-on-demand, charts would be printed when ordered using these updated files.

Using this cutting edge digital print technology, NOAA and OceanGrafix have joined forces to provide you with the most up-to-date nautical charts. Now, your charts are printed to order, and updated to last week's Notice to Mariners corrections.

The new charts are water-resistant with a tough coating for longer life. Bright colors make them easier to read under varying light conditions. Helpful information has been added to the margins, such as tide tables, frequencies, rules of the road - and they're customized for recreational and commercial mariners.

As a participant in the pilot program for the new charts, Landfall Navigation® is pleased to offer over 800 of the new digitally printed charts, with more available in the near future as the program is expanded.
