PFD Kit
 The last few years have seen too many tragic cases of man overboard drowning to be ignored. Landfall Navigation® feels very strongly that everyone when on deck should wear a PFD, even in calm weather. Because of their superior comfort, inflatable life jackets are an obvious choice. Most people find that after they get in the habit of wearing them, they feel half-naked without their PFD.
Should you get an automatic inflation (Deluxe / Premium) or a manual (Standard) inflation vest? Automatics cost a little more, and inflate upon immersion in water - a life-saving feature if you are injured or unconscious when you hit the water. Manuals require that you pull a "rip-cord" to inflate them, which is preferred by some mariners. Both types can be inflated orally (by mouth) if necessary. We equip the manual (Standard / Deluxe) with an ACR RapidFire Strobe, and the automatic (Premium) with an ACR DoubleFly2 Strobe. Our Offshore kits feature an integrated sailing harness, while our Inshore kit's do not.
