Chart Briefing Course
Save time and money at the BVI Charter Base by getting a pre-cleared BVI Fast Check-Out Chart Briefing. Accepted by most charter companies as a fast check out alternative. Get on the boat faster and get to Norman Island for the first night instead of being stuck in the marina waiting. Contained within is everything the charter company needs you to know from No Go Zones to Emergency VHF channels to suggested itineraries. Also included are two bonus chapters: Trivia history of the island group to quiz your crew while anchored up under a warm caribbean night sky and favorite drink concoctions of the island group.
How to do this via iPad
- NOTE: If you have an iPad, your best experience will be to invest in the interactive British Vrrgin Islands Fast Check Out Chart Briefing ibook from Apple iTunes for your iPad. You won't need to buy this course again here to do the test. Simply use as a promocode the 24th and 25th words on the "Instructions for this App" page from the iPad iBooks version. Enter all the letters together without the spacer and all lower case. Hint you'll be entering 13 letters.
- Then register for the course here for free using the promocode above.
- You can then take the test here or by using your free NauticEd iPad testing App. Visit our Sailing Apps page to get the Testing App.
- Show your NauticEd Sailing Certificate to the charter company to provide proof of passing the course.
How to do this if you don't own an iPad: Invest in a printable non-interactive PDF course here. In this course you'll be able to download the PDF document to study and print out to take with you on your BVI vacation. If you pass the accompanying test, the Charter Base will award you a fast check-out. Meaning you will be able to leave the marina earlier and get onto Norman Island or any of the wonderful places the BVI has to offer. You're in the BVI for a short time, why waste EXTREMELY valuable charter time waiting around for the chart briefing.
Contained with in this course is everything that you will be told by the charter company about what you need to know for a successful BVI charter vacation PLUS sooooo much more. Included are all the emergency numbers, VHF channels, weather sites and channels, what to watch out for bad + good. IE everything!
