In the Intermediate Diesel Engine Course the instructor will create common diesel engine issues and you will have to resolve them. This course builds on the Marine Diesel Basics Course however that is not a prerequisite. If you already have a basic understanding and some experience with diesel engines you will be fine to take this course.

Level 2 (Intermediate) will have a live engine! This seminar will include a review of the basics. However, we get right into hands on, practical lessons on bleeding, changing the impeller, filters, hoses and belts, oil, adjusting valves ,removing and replacing injectors, testing compression, adjusting the idle, and a close look at the transmission.

Course Format: One-Day - Seven Hours, 30 minute lunch break

  • Certification: Upon course completion you will receive a Landfall Navigation Marine Training Center certificate of completion in Marine Diesel Engines: Intermediate Course
