Rebate Offer Eligibility

Now through December 2, 2016, Consumers, businesses or government customers can get a $300 rebate on the purchase of Iridium Extreme or Iridium 9555 phones activated with any prepaid or monthly plan.
The rebate offer is eligible to Canadian, U.S., Mexico and Caribbean* residents who:
  1. Purchase Iridium Extreme or Iridium 9555 phones from October 3 – December 2, 2016.
  2. Activate with any prepaid or monthly plan by December 2, 2016 and make a 30 second test call
  3. to register the phone on the Iridium network.
  4. Claim their rebate online at www.iridium.com/rebate or by mail by December 16, 2016.
  5. *Excludes Cuba.

Upon receipt of a valid rebate claim, Iridium will rebate customers via a Global Virtual Visa card (electronic) with a value of $300 USD within eight (8) weeks.

  • Q: What is the purchase window in order to be eligible for the rebate?
    A: October 3, 2016 – December 2, 2016

  • Q: Until when can I submit a rebate claim?
    A: Rebates can be submitted at www.iridium.com/rebates until December 15, 2016.

  • Q: How is the $300 rebate distributed?
    A: Once a rebate has been validated you will receive an email with a link to activate a Global Virtual Visa with a $300 USD value.

  • Q: Can I get a physical card?
    A: For a fee of $3.95, you can choose to have a physical Global Visa card sent to the address associated with the rebate submission. Standard Global Visa card terms and conditions apply.

  • Q: When do the funds expire?
    A: You have six (6) months to claim the Global Virtual Visa and six (6) months to use the funds. After six (6) months the funds on the card will expire.

  • Q: Do I get a card for each rebate I submit?
    A: Customers will receive a Global Virtual Visa for each rebate submitted. The value of the Global Virtual Visa is capped at $1,000 USD. Bulk orders (3+ handsets) will have funds disbursed amongst multiple cards.

  • Q: Are the cards usable outside of North America?
    A: The electronic and physical credit card may be used outside of North America. Standard Global Visa terms and conditions apply, i.e. 2% currency conversion charges.

  • Q: What currency is the rebate in?
    A: The $300 will be valued in US dollars for all customers except Canada, where exchange rate adjusted rebate in CAD will be provided.

  • Q: Can I purchase any rate plan or voucher?
    A: Yes, any postpaid rate plan or prepaid voucher may be purchased.

  • Q: What if my rebate submission is incorrect or incomplete?
    A: Incorrect or incomplete submissions will be provided a denial code via email explaining why the claim is denied. Consumers then have 30 days to correct and resubmit their rebate.

  • Q: How long is the processing time for rebate submission?
    A: Please allow up to eight (8) weeks to process and disburse the rebate.

  • Q: What information is required to be eligible for the rebate?
    A: The following items are required to be eligible for the rebate:
    • Eligible Handset purchased (Iridium 9555, Iridium Extreme, Iridium 9555 GSA, Iridium Extreme (GSA)
    • Purchased date by consumer (end user)
    • Dealer or company name where handset was purchased
    • Phone IMEI number
    • SIM card number
    • Prepaid or postpaid plan purchase and date
    • Required phone call verified (the new sim must make a free test call)
    • Date and time of call • Name, address and email address
    • A picture of the consumer’s invoice
