SUMMARY OF NEW USCG REGULATION CHANGE
Per USCG - Life Float or Rigid Buoyant Apparatus which are unable to ensure that no part of an individual is immersed in water will be phased out.
Vessels which carry these types of Survival Craft must procure a suitable replacement for the phased out items by February 26, 2016. There is a potential for thousands of passenger vessels, Offshore Supply Vessels and Manned Fixed Platforms to be required to replace their Survival Craft as a result of this change and examples of affected brands/companies of the affected type include Billy Pugh, Apollo Marine, Cal-June and Life Saving Equipment/Roe Float.
Demand for the Landfall's Inflatable Buoyant Apparatuses (IBAs) out of the water survival craft is high, please order early.
