Serious equipment for serious cruisers!

A parachute sea anchor is a specially designed parachute used under water. An anchor rode is attached to the parachute, tied off the bow of your boat and dropped into the water. The parachute opens up from the tug of your boat as it's pushed back by blowing wind or drift. The bow of your boat automatically aligns itself into the wind and sea condition. Deploying the appropriate amount of anchor rode allows your boat and sea anchor to ride in unison on opposing waves. A safe, smooth, and comfortable boat ride results from this ingenious idea. Commonly used on powerboats for mechanical breakdowns or fishing. Used on sailboats in emergency situations. Both power and sail will use the Fiorentino Para-Anchor for layovers.
