American Cruising by J.A. Rogers
This is an interesting and very refreshing book. It is in no way a cruising guide. Rather, it speaks plainly and directly about how to cruise in warm American waters outside the U.S. There are chapters on documentation, money, ventilation, refrigeration, dinghies, mast-climbing, water storage and treatment, food storage, engine management, fuel supplies, charts, weather fax, hurricanes, and more. Rogers minces no words in his opinions on these and many other subjects, and his advice is sound and based on 20 years of experience. We highly recommend this book to the neophyte cruiser heading south. Spiral bound with plastic laminated covers, 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, 248 pages.
