 The ACR AquaFix Digital 406 PLB sends a personalized signal to satellites in orbit telling Search & Rescue personnel: who you are, where you are*, and that you are in a life threatening emergency. It is easily stored in backpacks, waist packs or a foul weather gear pocket you can carry it all the time. At a mere 5.7" H, 3.03" W, 1.74" D, and weight of only 12 ozs. this is the smallest and lightest Personal Locator Beacon around. The ACR AquaFix Digital 406 PLB also comes standard with a durable rubber holster which allows the user to attach the PLB to webbing straps, carabiners, D-Rings, PFDs, belts or climbing harnesses.

The AquaFix Digital 406 GPS I/O PLB features an internal GPS, ACR’s exclusive FastACQ GPS technology and an external GPS optical interface, the AquaFix Digital 406 GPS I/O PLB gives the user unparalled versatility. This PLB can include GPS coordinates in the emergency satellite transmission via a handheld GPS, using the optical interface OR using the onboard, internal GPS built right into the PLB. ACR’s FastACQ technology relays accurate GPS information to the satellites faster than all other internal GPS PLBs. Status: FCC Approved October 5, 2004

The AquaFix Digital 406 I PLB features an *optical GPS interface that allows you to hook up your handheld GPS to the PLB. The PLB will download your GPS coordinates and automatically include them in the emergency transmission to the satellites. Status: FCC Approved November 3, 2004
