These Mustang coats have kept us (Landfall Captains) comfortable through many long watches at the helm. They're cut long for considerably greater warmth than the "bomber" style jacket. Most important, they're lined with closed-cell PVC foam for both insulation and flotation. The foam is so effective that the Mustang Classic Floater Coat (Model #MC1504 Standard) is also USCG-approved as a Type III flotation device. Freedom of movement is completely unhindered. Water-resistant, with full length storm flap and zippered front pockets.
