This new and improved NOAA weather radio receivers compact portable design allows you to receive emergency alerts anywhere! It will automatically tune to all NOAA channels.
This multi-purpose radio tunes to the NOAA's National Weather Service (NWS) channels, and gives you endless, round-the-clock local weather forecasts. It also responds to signals form the U.S. Emergency Alert System (EAS), which give warning of violent weather, earthquakes, radiation emergencies, and other natural and man-made disasters. You can leave the radio in stand-by mode, so that it will activate only when it receives an Emergency Alert System broadcast. If you're in an area prone to occasional violent weather (and what area isn't?) this radio can be a lifesaver.
